Writing Motherhood is a six-week online creative writing course facilitated by Bronwyn Senn of The Motherwhelm.
The course consists of six live, 90-minute group workshops, combining literary readings, guided writing exercises, discussion, and opportunities for reflection.
The course is designed to support participants in exploring motherhood through creative writing, regardless of their previous writing experience.
Participation in discussions and sharing written work is always voluntary.

Enrolment is confirmed once full payment has been received and a place has been allocated.
Course places are limited to maintain a small, supportive group environment, with a maximum of 12 participants per group.
All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD). Any applicable fees or taxes will be disclosed before payment.
Participants will receive confirmation of their enrolment and further information about accessing the online workshops before the course begins.

Where practical, the facilitator may provide relevant exercises or materials so you can continue writing independently.
Live workshops will not be recorded unless participants have been informed and have provided appropriate consent.

If the entire course is cancelled before commencement, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a future course.
If a session needs to be rescheduled, reasonable efforts will be made to arrange a suitable alternative.
If a substantial change to the advertised course prevents a participant from attending, an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement will be offered, consistent with Australian Consumer Law.

Writing Motherhood is intended to be a welcoming environment in which participants can explore their experiences and creative ideas without pressure or judgement.
Participants agree to:
Treat fellow writers with respect and consideration.
Respect differences in experience, identity, opinion, and approach to motherhood.
Avoid sharing another participant's personal stories or identifying information outside the group without their permission.
Offer feedback constructively and only where invited.
Respect each participant's choice about whether to share their writing or personal experiences.
Although confidentiality is an important expectation of the group, The Motherwhelm cannot guarantee the actions of individual participants outside the workshops.
If behaviour seriously disrupts the group or compromises another participant's safety or wellbeing, the facilitator may take reasonable steps to address the situation, including ending that participant's involvement where necessary. Any refund or other remedy will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.
-
Writing about motherhood can involve deeply personal experiences, including identity, pregnancy, birth, loss, relationships, and difficult emotions.
